Wishful Thinking

It’s funny how wishes work. The quiet, content and honest ones often get stuck in the stratosphere or are lost in the clouds, awaiting their turn of fate. But the vindictive, angry ones, the jealous words sprouted in rage tend to streak into heavens like motorbikes through traffic. And before you know it, that thing that was someone else’s is now yours for reasons unfathomable.
