Hope

I am fractured by hope and its inarticulate mists.

That unreasoned logic which releases joy, relinquishes words.

A feeling so small, its profound. A pain so piercing, its pleasure.

An evening everlasting, and a fleeting monsoon.

A night forgotten, a date crooned.

Untouched but tangible. Unheard yet sung.

A sight unseen, a tapestry undone.

I am fractured by hope and its inarticulate mists;

For it is like you within me, and indomitably persists.
